On 22 June 2015 a round table discussion entitled ‘Focus on Finland’ took place as part of the business programme of the Moscow Business Square international film festival. At the event, Finnish producers presented projects which are ready for co-production with Russia, while representatives from the Finnish Film Foundation discussed opportunities for filming in the country, as well as the support offered by the Finnish film industry abroad. Also present was Nevafilm Research’s senior analyst Xenia Leontyeva, who presented the distribution figures for Finnish films in Russia and Russian films in Finland over the 2003–2014 period. After giving the report, Leontyeva announced details of a two-day business programme that will take place during the 2015 Window to Europe film festival: on 13 August representatives from Finland will come to Vyborg to discuss opportunities for Russian producers, and on 14 August Russian representatives will discuss opportunities for Finnish producers in Kotka.
